This instantly iconic Lonely Mountain pattern is woven in a three colour hybrid weave, the design is inspired by ancient maps and illustrations to create a storybook feel.
Woven with BCI organic cotton and GRS Certified recycled cotton using a hybrid weave technique, this wrap is soft and breathable with a wonderful support. This beautiful baby wrap is a great all-rounder and will be perfect for little ones through to toddlerhood and beyond.
Hybrid weave is a special technique that allows us to use multiple colours to highlight different areas of the pattern for a unique look.
This sling is woven with BCI organic cotton, by using BCI cotton we ensure that our cotton meets the Better Cotton Initiative's high standards of environmental, economic and social responsibility. How do I choose the right size wrap?
Our baby wraps come in different sizes, find the right size for you with our Size Guide. All of our fabrics are weight tested up to 45lbs (or about 5 years old).

This is a natural product with an organic scent, no chemical agents are used in the manufacture of the item or its packaging.
FABRIC COMPOSITION: 76% BCI Organic Combed Cotton, 24% GRS Certified Recycled Cotton, 64cm wide.
FABRIC WEIGHT: approx. 317gsm
*Please note that this fabric is almost entirely identical to the Lonely Mountain Lair fabric with minor visual differences. You can see in the photos that the runes are woven with white yarns instead of black and the trees at the bottom of the design are also woven in a slightly lighter shade. As this colour change was not intentional we are offering the fabric at a 10% discount.
This hand-drawn design is inspired by storybook covers as well as ancient maps, it tells the tale of The Lonely Mountain, or Erebor, the Dwarven kingdom which was home to the exiled members of King Durin's folk, led by the King Under the Mountain, Thrór, until the attack and occupation by the dragon Smaug. This towering mountain is the quest's end for Thorin Oakenshield and company, along with Bilbo Baggins, in their efforts to reclaim the kingdom for their people in The Hobbit.
The runes read:
"Five feet high the door and three may walk abreast Th. Th."
Echoing the description of the Black Door on Thorin's map. Th. Th. refers to Thrór and Thrain, Thorin's father and grandfather, who drew the map which leads the company to Smaug's lair. Nearby Smaug circles the mountain containing his hoard, while the banners proclaim the name of the mountain in flowing script.
