Moria Coppersmith features 5 alternating wefts of Tussah silk, Viscose and Peace silk. This luxurious blend brings the support and strength of silk and the malleability of a viscose yarn for a mouldable but strong sling. This beautiful fabric features Dwarvish runes taken from the song sung by Gimli™ during the Fellowship’s quest to Mordor, which read, “In Moria, in Khazad-Dum. The world was fair in Durin’s day.”
The warp yarn used is a soft, 3-ply, long-staple Egyptian Organic Cotton, grown and processed by the Nile, which ensures high-quality fibers. The supplier collaborated with local growers for years, helping them convert soil to meet Organic Soil Association standards. The yarn is processed in Egypt, supporting local jobs and livelihoods.
This fabric is soft straight from the bag, with a lovely tactile feeling created from the silk wefts. The strength of the Shantung Tussah silk makes it a great option for little ones through to toddlerhood and beyond. Combined with the light weight strength of the Peace Silk, this makes for a wrap that feels light in hand, pliable and easy to wrap giving secure and supportive carries.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Hand washing is recommended, although a silk cycle on a known reliable machine may be used at your own risk. Use a suitable silk detergent. Hang to dry, avoiding direct sunlight and iron on a cool setting.
