Should I Choose a Left or Right Shoulder Ring Sling?

  • ‘Left or right shoulder’ refers to the position of the rings on your shoulder, your baby will sit on the opposite hip. 
  • Check which hip you would naturally want to place your baby on and choose that option.
  • Left & Right Shoulder options are offered if the Ring Sling has a top and bottom edge so that the fade of colours and/or the pattern will sit as pictured when worn on that shoulder.

Named after the Westfarthing, one of the four Farthings of the Shire and the centre of Hobbit authority, this beautiful ring sling is woven on a deep forest green organic cotton backdrop. The bustling Shire pattern is picked out in alternating Tencel and hemp yarns in white.

Perfect for The Lord of the Rings™ fans, this design features the iconic circular doorway, smoke rising from a warm hearth and well-tended gardens teeming with life and activity: all of which tells the whimsical tale of the Hobbit home. Our homely scene is set between beautiful flowering borders, evoking the pages of a classic storybook. The Westfarthing was known for being the home of the beloved characters, Bilbo Baggins and Frodo Baggins, as that is where the village Hobbiton was located.

This easy-care fabric is a great all-rounder that is suitable for all seasons. The hemp brings a touch of added support, whilst the cotton and Tencel yarns lend extra cush and softness.

Tencel is a yarn made from wood pulp using a closed loop system, softer and stronger than most cottons it also uses much less water and land making it a great eco-friendly alternative.

The lovely texture of this fabric gives it a good balance of grip and glide making it easy to adjust. Strong and sustainable hemp yarns are perfect for use with bigger kids. This fabric will need just a little love to become soft enough to use with smaller babies.

Our organic cotton is softer and stronger than most cottons, produced ethically this cotton is grown with care and without chemicals keeping the land, and farmers, healthy.
