Handcrafted in Scotland
Responsible production is at the heart of Oscha. To minimise our impact on the environment, we weave our fabrics in the UK and handcraft our baby carriers in Scotland using GOTS-certified organic cotton, BCI cotton, and OEKO-TEX® certified yarns.
Winners of the Sustainable Business of the Year Award from Women's Enterprise Scotland (2025) and selected for Small Business Britain’s Green Growth 100 list (2026), our workshop operates with a zero fabric waste commitment by converting offcuts into accessories and scrap materials. Furthermore, every purchase supports our dedicated grove in the Caledonian Forest, where we partner with Trees for Life to help rewild the Scottish Highlands.

Made in Scotland
Our production happens entirely in the UK, with every sling cut and stitched in our wee Scottish workshop.
We are proud that our manufacturing remains wholly local, supporting skilled machinists with fair working conditions and contributing directly to the Scottish economy. By investing in local craftspeople, we are playing our part in supporting the re-growth of Scotland’s once-flourishing textile industry.

Zero Fabric Waste Commitment
We design our production process to eliminate fabric waste at every stage. Excess mill yarns are repurposed into small-batch weaves, while flawed fabrics find homes through our 'Woven Seconds'.
By offering Pre-orders and Made-to-Order releases, we match production directly to demand. Any fabric offcuts from our Scottish workshop are carefully saved and made into scrap packs for our craft customers.

Solar Powered & Restoring Native Forests
Our Scottish workshop runs on 100% solar power, significantly reducing the operational footprint of every sling we make.To support long-term environmental recovery, we also partner with Trees for Life. Every purchase contributes directly to our dedicated grove in the Caledonian Forest, helping restore native woodland and protect wildlife habitats in the Scottish Highlands.

Responsibly Sourced Yarns
We select raw materials with care, choosing certified yarns that meet strict environmental and social standards. We use GOTS-certified organic cotton and BCI cotton to support better farming practices and reduce synthetic pesticide use.
We also prioritize low-impact natural fibers such as linen and hemp, which require less water and fewer inputs to grow. Our TENCEL™ lyocell is produced using a closed-loop system that recycles water and solvents.

Trees for Life
Through a dedicated monthly contribution to the charity Trees for Life, Oscha proudly supports the rewilding of the Scottish Highlands, where our dedicated Oscha Grove continues to grow. Trees for Life focuses on long-term ecological restoration across the ancient Caledonian Forest, helping regenerate native woodland by piecing together surviving forest fragments, expanding wild habitats, and supporting the return of native species to the Scottish Highlands.

Safe & Chemical-Free Softening
We soften our fabrics using gentle mechanical processes rather than synthetic chemical finishes, ensuring your carrier arrives soft, safe, and ready to use straight out of the bag.
