Shire Árktos is woven with the highly sought-after viscose linen slub blend to offer chunky cush and a little extra softness in your sling. Woven with our unique pocket weave technique this easy-care fabric has two layers sitting on top of one another which gives extra strength. The result is a dreamy blend that brings softness and strength while creating a subtle texture with the viscose linen slub yarn.
Despite its thickness, this fabric maintains its pliability thanks to its distinctive construction. It offers a wonderful cush for comfy carries, while its strength makes it a reliable, easy-to-care-for choice suitable for toddlers.
The warp of pink and blue is intricately woven with icy blue organic cotton and ecru viscose linen slub yarns to create a visual treat inspired by the icy depths of winter. The two-colour graduation of the weft allows the Hobbit rooftops to glisten in the cold, frosty morning.
Our special pocket weave technique forms little pockets of air across the fabric which give the fabric a lovely cush and slight bounce - perfect for carrying your little ones in ultimate comfort.
By using BCI cotton we ensure that our cotton meets the Better Cotton Initiative’s high standards of environmental, economic and social responsibility. Our BCI cotton is also organic, meaning it is grown with care and without chemicals keeping the land, and farmers, healthy.

Wrap Throw* - Made from the wrap fabric, these are different from the specially woven throws you will see on our site. Unless stated otherwise, please note that designs with a graduation are not mirrored. The graduation and pattern are repeated and there is a firm line at the centre of the blanket where the colour fade ends and begins again rather than a soft fade.
