Doors of Durin – Speak, Friend, and Enter
This detailed design is inspired by the West-gate of Moria, also known as the Doors of Durin, from The Lord of the Rings™. The motif draws from Tolkien’s original illustrations, depicting the Elvish and Dwarvish collaboration that crafted the gate, with intricate archways, stars, and trees woven in fine detail.
Doors of Durin is jacquard woven in the UK using natural and organic yarns. The design appears across a range of handcrafted pieces including baby wrap carriers, scarves, shawls, throws, and more – all made with care in our Scottish workshop. This striking pattern speaks to fans of Middle-earth and lovers of meaningful design.
