Hunter green fades to pomegranate red with alternating Natural Red Peace Silk and Arrowwood golden Cashwool depicting a scene straight out of Tolkien's legendary world. It creates an earthy yet festive colour palette for this popular Middle-earth design.
Treebeard, the guardian of the ancient Fangorn forest, stands tall and wise surrounded by flora and fauna. His iconic words feature prominently on the top and bottom borders:
“The world is changing: I feel it in the water, I feel it in the earth, and I smell it in the air.”
Beautiful nubs and slubs, a characteristic of silk, speckle across the pattern to give a unique look and feel to each piece of fabric creating a beautiful effect.
The lightweight strength of Peace Silk combines nicely with the soft cush of Superwash Cashwool making this wrap a great all-rounder for all ages. It will feel soft and mouldable with a nice amount of grip. The temperature-regulating quality of this blend makes it breathable and airy.
Peace silk gets its name from the production process in which the butterfly flies away from the cocoon before it's harvested. This ethical yarn has a very low water footprint and is made from silk leftovers that would otherwise go to landfill.
This item is part of the Holly Berry preorder and the yarns and pattern were carefully selected by the A Walk in the Park Preorder group.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Hand washing is recommended, although a silk cycle on a known reliable machine may be used at your own risk. Use a suitable silk detergent. Hang to dry, avoiding direct sunlight and iron on a cool setting.

Wrap Throw* - Made from the wrap fabric, these are different from the specially woven throws you will see on our site. Unless stated otherwise, please note that designs with a graduation are not mirrored. The graduation and pattern are repeated and there is a firm line at the centre of the blanket where the colour fade ends and begins again rather than a soft fade. This detailed, illustration shows Treebeard and his tree-giant friends in the forest of Fangorn. Also known as tree-herders, these ancient beings protect and nurture the woods. Treebeard is said by Gandalf to be "the oldest living thing that still walks beneath the Sun upon this Middle-earth."
The design features part of a quote from Treebeard to Galadriel in The Lord of the Rings "For the world is changing: I feel it in the water, I feel it in the earth, and I smell it in the air. I do not think we shall meet again"
The pattern is inspired by woodcuts and the aesthetic art movement style. It is an adaptation of our Fangorn pattern.
